When Anna Tilley died in 22/3/1909, Hillcott farm was passed on to the Tilley brothers who together worked the farm, in 1912 Stanley purchased the farm outright, then continued to work the farm until his death.His wife Amanda with help of their son Grove carried on the farm work, with the main emphasis on the dairy herd,it was a common sight to see the traffic on Golden Grove Road stopped to allow the cows to cross, heading to the milking sheds. When Grove passed away, Amanda then went to live with her daughter Phyllis at Coonalpyn.Stan had allowed part of section 2146 to be used as the local oval and the Golden Grove Show for a peppercorn rental, this land was eventually sold to John & Hannah Tilley.
